Riverdance 30th Anniversary Tour Comes to Etihad Arena in November 2027
Riverdance returns to the UAE with its 30th Anniversary Tour, playing three performances at Etihad Arena on Yas Island in November 2027. The first is on Friday, 19 November, at 20:00, and on Saturday, 20 November, there are two: an afternoon show at 15:00 and an evening show at 20:00. Doors open an hour before each performance. The anniversary production reworks the original with fresh choreography, refreshed costumes and new lighting, projection and motion graphics, and a new generation of performers takes the stage.
Riverdance began as the interval act at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, watched by an estimated 300 million viewers, and opened as a full-length show at Dublin's Point Theatre in February 1995. Bill Whelan's score won the Grammy for Best Musical Show Album in 1997. The show is still produced by Moya Doherty and directed by John McColgan, and by 2023 more than 30 million people in 49 countries had seen it live. Dancers, musicians and singers share one stage, and the anniversary tour is a chance to see the show that made Irish dance a global phenomenon.
The Saturday afternoon performance works well for families: children are admitted from the age of two, and anyone under 16 must come with an adult aged 21 or over. With three shows over two days, there is a choice of date and time, but the most popular slots tend to go first. Pick your performance: Riverdance tickets at Etihad Arena.
