Mohamed Helmy Brings His New Special, Plus One, to Etihad Arena

Egyptian comedian Mohamed Helmy is back in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, 24 November, with Plus One, his new stand-up special, at Etihad Arena on Yas Island. It is the show's first run in the UAE and Helmy's third year in a row on the Abu Dhabi comedy calendar. The hour promises sharp punchlines and stories about life and relationships, and the whole show is in Arabic. Entry is for ages 12 and over.

Helmy made his name with The Roast League, the Arabic roast-battle format he launched in 2019, and today he produces his own shows under the HelmyMan Events brand. His Mama's Boy and Papa's Boy tours played Riyadh, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while Globally Local took him to stages in Europe and the US. In June 2025 he was at Space42 Arena with Off Script, an improvised night built entirely around the audience. Plus One is a brand-new hour of material, and this time he brings it to Etihad Arena.

Abu Dhabi gets just one night before Plus One heads to Jeddah later in November. Doors open an hour before the show, and phones, smart watches and earbuds can't be used inside the performance space. Get your seat for the UAE premiere: Mohamed Helmy tickets at Etihad Arena.
