Mo Amer Brings His Stand-Up Back to Etihad Arena on 6 November
Mo Amer returns to Etihad Arena on Yas Island on Friday, 6 November, with a night of stand-up as part of the Abu Dhabi Comedy Season. Presented by Live Nation Middle East, the show starts at 20:00, and doors open two hours earlier, at 18:00. It is a phone-free night: devices go into sealed pouches at security, and the show is for guests aged 16 and over.
Amer's story is the backbone of his comedy. Born in Kuwait in 1981, he fled with his family during the Gulf War at the age of nine and grew up in Houston, Texas. He turned that journey into Mo, the Netflix series he co-created with Ramy Youssef and starred in, which won a Peabody Award in 2023. His Netflix specials include The Vagabond, Mohammed in Texas and Wild World, released in 2025, and viewers also know him as Ramy's cousin Mo in the Hulu series Ramy. He has played this arena before: in March 2023 he shared the Etihad Arena stage with Maz Jobrani.
The show is just over two weeks away, and it's his only night in the capital. With doors at 18:00, there is time to get to Yas Island and settle in before the first joke. If Mo is your kind of comedy, sort out your Friday plans now: Mo Amer tickets at Etihad Arena.
